Surrounded by an uncontaminated nature reserve, San Massimo Riso is cultivated in the agricultural territory Riserva San Massimo near Pavia in Northern Italy. Riserva San Massimo selects only the best seeds, certificated by E.N.S.E. (national cooperation for elected seeds) to produce the only Italian 100% Carnaroli rice in the world. The production process – from threshing to packaging is still completely artisanal. This allows the rice to keep all of its flavors, fragrances and organoleptic qualities gained during its ripening.
